Day 1: Drive to Inverness via Cairngorms

Edinburgh or Glasgow → A9 via Pitlochry and Aviemore → Inverness. Enjoy Cairngorms viewpoints, a short forest walk, and evening by the River Ness in town. Optional: quick stop at a local café or distillery around Aviemore or Pitlochry.

Day 2: Loch Ness & Culloden, then South

Morning: Loch Ness drive, Urquhart Castle viewpoint, optional boat trip. Afternoon: Culloden Battlefield and nearby Clava Cairns, then A9 return to the south. Optional: late-afternoon stroll around Inverness before heading home.
